Tier 3 Computer Services will use several products that are available free of charge to anyone to detect and remove viruses, spyware, trojans, and other malware that has infected your computer. This process typically takes several hours. In order to provide this service to you at a reasonable price we charge a fixed price of $80 per machine. If you have several computers to disinfect at the same time we will charge the lower of either the fixed price per machine or our normal rate of $80 per hour.

No single product can claim to detect every new virus. That is why we will use two or three different products from different software producers to clean up your system. We cannot guarantee that all of the malware will be removed from your computer. Nobody can make that claim. Our experience is that our customers are satisfied with the results of our efforts. So far we have always been able to correct the problem that the customer called us to fix.

The most effective approach to reducing your chance of being infected is to keep up to date with your software patches. Every year security companies produce reports that show that most of the computers infected with viruses could be fixed simply by keeping up to date with security patches.
